INTEGRITY
Too many people promise too much and deliver to little. By working with one of our sales professional’s one on one, we have the time to sit down with you and discuss your wants and needs in selling your boat. The goal is not to list every boat we see but to see and know every boat we list. We can provide many references from past-satisfied clients.
When looking for a broker to list your boat you should be asking yourself these questions:
- Is my broker experienced not only in sales, but YACHT Sales and how long has he been doing this?
We have over 100+ combined yerrs experience exclusively in Yacht Sales.
- Is the office this broker works for also have the same level of professionals who will treat my boat just like it was their listing if the listing agent is gone?
All the Sea Lake brokers act as a team in every listing. We all help each other.
- Can my broker accurately give me the data needed so that together we can really see what my boat is worth and evaluate not only what we should ask but also how long it might take to sell?
We do a free market analysis with every listing inquiry so that we can evaluate together what your boat should sell for.
- Is my broker particular about what he lists? Is he trying to manage a lot of listings or a few quality listings?
Our motto is we personally inspect every boat we list. We do not list every boat we see. If a boat doesn’t meet our criteria, we will refer the seller to another brokerage. This is why we have more later model boats than any other brokerage in Texas and why the buyers come here first.
- Does he have resources and contacts in the industry to get the word out on my boat? Is he going to co-broker it or withhold it from the market and try to sell it himself?
Sea Lake is over 25 years now in the business of selling yachts, and over that time has built a network of other brokerages from which to work with in buying and/or selling. If a co-broker calls us about one of our listings they can be assured we will work with them to the best of our ability to help them sell the boat as well.
- Is my broker licensed to buy and sell in the state of Florida?
Yes Sea Lake is one of the oldest Florida Licensed Brokerages, which is also accepted in the state of California.
- Has my broker passed the Certified Professional Yacht Broker exam?
YES not only was a broker at Sea Lake the first broker in Texas to receive the accreditation, but Sea Lake was the first Fully Accredited CPYB Endorsed Yacht Brokerage in the US. Two of our broker are on the advisory council for the nationwide Certification Program.
- What will my broker do that will set my boat apart from the others that are on the market?
- We will personally inspect your boat and make suggestions of what you should do to the boat to maximize her curb appeal and also obtain the highest asking price
- We do more detailed listings than most brokers. Ask to see one and compare it with other brokers. Carefully analyzing the data and securing a proper listing is only part of the job.
- We will do detailed photographs, web albums and even digital video of your boat, more than just what is listed online, so that if an out of state or out of the country buyer calls that buyer will have in his hands within the hour photos that will show him why your boat is better than any of the others listed.
- Is my broker using state of the art technology to sell my boat?
We were using digital photos and video before anyone else. Most out of state buyers buy because they feel they have gotten an accurate representation of the boat they are interested in. Many out of the country sales have resulted even when the buyer didn’t come see the boat because they felt the boat was well represented as far as condition and accuracy of the details.
- Will my broker keep me informed?
We will also keep you informed, usually via email, at a minimum of once a month about how our asking price is holding up as compared to what else is on the market. It does neither of us any good to list a boat and just wait for someone to come along. We have to be proactive about the price and what is happening in the market. In closing compare our plan with anyone else’s and I think you will see that we have a Passion for this business which translates into Yacht Sales
